Hi 👋🏻 I’m Ashley. I felt like it’s been awhile so I thought I would share a few things about me.
1️⃣ For the longest time, I was labeled “the shy girl”. It wasn’t until my mid twenties that I think I finally broke through.
2️⃣ I’ve had to wear glasses 🤓 since the first grade. I was bullied pretty bad because of it. But you know what, I think being bullied is what gave me the opportunity to speak to thousands of kids & teens on the subject of bullying and the secret of resilience.
3️⃣ I’ve fought through OCD, ADHD, anxiety, and depression. I could tell you so many experiences I’ve had through these battles. This journey has given me opportunities to see people where they are, love deeper, and most importantly strengthen my testimony of Christ’s atonement.
4️⃣ My husband & I eat whole food plant based 🌱 after divinely being led to the healthiest diet after he had to have a precancerous polyp removed.
5️⃣ I love cleaning 🧹 I seriously love it! And I love helping others create organization in their homes. I could stare at pictures of organized spaces for hours. ...

We don’t always get to control what happens around us, but we can ALWAYS choose our thoughts 💭 which = our attitude. • • •
Attitude is one of those things that have a greater impact on the results we are getting in our life than we often recognize. • • •
As you choose your words carefully, your life will start to change! If you believe things are happening FOR you always, better things will come your way!
Here’s some more benefits for having a good attitude:

Did you know that with God’s plan for your life, it’s IMPOSSIBLE to fail? .
Oh, sure. You can not reach the goal you were aiming for. You can feel lost or stuck for years on end. But to fail, to truly fail... God has your back, girl. .
Yes, you’re a co-creator of your life with Him so what you do does matter and has consequences. BUT He is s God of mercy who will let you try again and again and again.

This is coming from the girl who lost 9 pageants. The girl who didn’t get married until 28. The girl who put so much into her Mary Kay business and then felt like it was time to shift gears. And the girl who didn’t go to Senior Ball because she wasn’t asked. .
These may look like failures to the human eye, but when you become so sure of your true worth and essence because you allow the Spirit to guide you to truth, it doesn’t matter what anyone else says, thinks, or judges you on. It ALWAYS works out!!!

NO! It’s a powerful word. You never EVER need to explain yourself when you’re trying to get out of a situation that is putting your physical, emotional, or spiritual self in danger. 💛
Sadly, sexual assault is all too common for girls these days and it’s never your fault if it happens to you. 💛
Some girls feel like they have to be the nice girl that goes along with anything and so they don’t use their voice when they really want to. Don’t be afraid to use the word NO!!! No one can ever tell you what to do with your body and you have every right to set your boundaries at the line you’re most comfortable with. 💛
If you feel like you’re in a toxic relationship and need to talk, I’m totally here for you. They can be scary and dangerous. P.S. you never need to feel shame about being in one. I was actually in one for 5 years and it now allows me to help girls just like you!

Love is one of the most powerful forces in the world 🌎! Love is what connects us to God. Love is what connects us to ourselves. Love is what connects us to others. And love what connects us to Christ. •••
Nothing has a greater power to heal us than love. Love is the force that motivates others to change. When you feel loved, you feel safe to make the adjustments necessary to move forward in your life.

There is no emotion that feels better than love. To withhold love from someone you feel doesn’t deserve it, hurts you the most. Giving love is the most transformational vehicle you could put yourself in for your own personal journey to the life you long for.

Who needs your love today? Would you be willing to give it away without any preconceived notions? As you start to love God, you’ll soon love yourself even more and thus the love cycle begins. There is no order to the love cycle. Love is love and the more it is given, the more it grows.

If your heart is weary, open up your scriptures and find Christ in them this day. They will tell you of truth about God, Christ, yourself, the world, and many things to come. 📖
As you search the scriptures, one day you will realize just how much you know Christ and of his great love for you!

You can overcome ANYTHING "In the strength of the Lord" (Mosiah 9:17). What is it that you want to overcome? It's not more girl power that you need, girl power is given through the Lord. We are powerless, but with the Lord we can do ALL things.
If your self-esteem isn't where you want it to be... turn to the Lord.

If your confidence is lacking... turn to the Lord.
If you're strongly desiring to overcome some weaknesses or earthly battles... turn to the Lord.

God will deliver you as you turn to Him. If you feel a connection is missing between you and God, ask God what interference is in the way and then be willing to do ANYTHING to move it.

Are you being blinded from the blessings that are right in front of you?

Last night as I was getting ready for bed, it hit me. Satan had fed me a lie a long time ago and I didn’t recognize it as a lie, so I took the thought on that this thing had been missing in my life. And what you think about, you start to manifest digging me deeper into the lie.
I looked myself in the mirror last night and The Spirit told me I didn’t have to believe that thought anymore. I was shown who I am. Who I TRULY am and who I’ve ALWAYS been. That I had literally been hiding myself from my true self.
That blessing was being withheld from me, it was simply my erroneous thoughts blocking me from seeing the truth. Satan didn’t have to keep feeding me this lie because once I believed him, I started doing the adversary’s work for him.
I AM ENOUGH AND YOU ARE ENOUGH! I don’t care what anyone in this entire universe tells you, even if it’s yourself. YOU ARE ENOUGH! And by the way, this statement means WAY more than your worldly eyes can see or make sense of.

Comparison is one of the fastest ways to get out of alignment with what God says about you. His truth about who you are doesn’t move, but when you’re beliefs move, it’s so much harder to feel His words as truth.

Now here’s the thing, I don’t live when people simply say “stop comparing”, because through personal experience, it really isn’t that easy. But it is possible when you spend more time in gratitude, loving your journey, and focusing on your strengths.

Here’s the deal! You have agency. You signed up for that agency.
You actually went to WAR for that agency. This means you know how important it is which means we must value another persons agency.

You can’t control the circumstances around you, but you have every drop of power around the attitude and thoughts 💭 you do have around the cards you are dealt.

I have been caught in the comparison trap many times. There was a time in my life when it was so debilitating that I felt as if I was in competition with every human and a God had blessed everyone with more gifts, talents, beauty, knowledge, advantages, and so much more and I was the one that was neglected.

Those were such painful thoughts, thoughts that Satan had me believing to the core of all goodness I knew.
• • •
The thing is, this isn’t how this earth life thing works. We are in no competition. We are in no competition to see who is the smartest, prettiest, most spiritual. That’s not how a God works. Our lives are so individual and not one human is a threat to your worth, your salvation, or you eternal happiness. TRUST that God’s ways are so much higher and on a different playing field than you’re even aware of. You are MORE than enough!!!

That’s where the classroom of life comes into play... and your spirit is going to win as you continue to press forward! • • •
Your mind is going to play tricks on you, wanting to be distracted by the mists of darkness like looking for love in things, people, popularity, chocolate , Netflix, recognition, and the list could go on and on. While these things aren’t bad; they will never feed your Spirit with the full and complete love only God has to offer. • • •

It’s so easy to forget those times in our lives

It’s so easy to forget those times in our lives when we have felt Heavenly Father’s love 💗 because we have so many other things in this world competing for our attention. That’s why the word REMEMBER is used so much in the scriptures.

Take some time today to think of some times that you may have felt the love of Heavenly Father in your life. Maybe some of these examples will help to spark that in you.

We know that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Once you’ve identified times you’ve felt His love, you can rest assured that there will be many, many more times when you’ll feel of His love.

Because really, His love is ALWAYS there. It never goes away, it is our hearts that become hardened or our minds busy and distracted that make it harder for us to feel it. Ask for your heart to be opened!!!

To the girl wondering if she matters: you wouldn’t be on this earth with a beating heart if you didn’t have a purpose. Something God is counting on YOU to accomplish!

To the girl wondering if she is beautiful: you have something so unique in you that you can forever embrace. We aren’t born to look alike, to be the same is Satan’s plan. Who says acne isn’t beautiful? The world does... but isn’t their voice also the one that hides the light of Christ. Let’s bring the light of Christ back and it begins by you simply loving you!!

God wants us to be happy. Happiness is part of the

God wants us to be happy. Happiness is part of the plan in this life just as much as it is in the life after. But here is just a few things that might be holding you back from experiencing that happiness. 💛
The hard part is looking in and admitting if you do these or not. And if you admit to one of them or all of them, there is NO shame. It’s just evaluating where you are in this moment because that is where the power lies to then move forward.

These are the words that I said in my prayer today. They are special to my heart, vulnerable, and sacred. But I felt compelled to share them because I know I’m not the only one who needed them today or struggles with the ugly addiction of comparison. ✨
You see, I’ve been struggling deeply with some body image issues and by no means is this something new to me. But through the grace of Christ I’m learning what it means to full-heartedly embrace my life because of what He can do with it. When I feel imperfect, I can either wallow in my pain, or I can look to Christ and say “I’ll be who you need me to be and I’ll do what you need me to do.”

Girls, I promise wishing you were someone else, had the experiences of someone else, or looking like someone else isn’t going to take your pain away. What will is turning your heart over to Christ and saying “I trust you and your perfect plan for my life. I will live for you, I don’t need the praise of the world. This is YOUR glory, not my own!” Trusting in Him is part of the process of coming to KNOW Him and that is part of the journey to obtaining infinite self-esteem.

Emotions are huge indicators of our hearts being opened or closed.

Having a hard heart is uncomfortable and can make life really unpleasant. We change by coming into Christ. ✨
When my heart is hard, I feel like a Rollie Polle (AKA potato bug) and I become self absorbed, quiet and in my own bubble.
✨
When my heart is opened, it feels soft and full. I feel like a social butterfly 🦋 where I want to smile at the world and serve everyone that comes into my space... as a matter of fact I want to go out of my way to lift the world.
✨
The journey then becomes keeping your heart opened once you get there, but the pride cycle is real and we’re on this journey together!!
