Having been back to school for a month or so now a

Having been back to school for a month or so now and with all the craziness going on at this time, can I offer you five pieces of wisdom?!!

1️⃣ Be YOU!!! I know, this is so cliche’, but seriously this is one of the most important things you can do!!! You’re YOU for a reason! Be that authentic you to fulfill the mission you were sent here to do. Message me if have questions or need help with this one. It’s VITAL for this generation to be authentic & real! (I’ll share more on this later!)

2️⃣ Serve others!!! So often we want to be popular & fit in. One of the best ways to make friends is by serving others even if they don’t give back. People don’t remember your jeans 👖, they remember how they felt when they were around you.

3️⃣ Get involved! To any extent you can be involved in groups, clubs, sports, etc. Those help you make friends, discover more of yourself, and allow you to have better future opportunities as well.

4️⃣ Put TIME into your homework! To be educated & be smart is a principle of the gospel. To be smart doesn’t mean you’re a great test taker or always know the answers, it means you’re simply willing to challenge the thinking of others & putting in the effort.

5️⃣ Create a daily gratitude list. 📝 Seriously, this time in your life passes so quickly and often teens just want to pass over it and be an adult already. Enjoy the moment you’re in, it’s a glorious time worth cherishing!!!

Oftentimes the words others say to us or just our about the judgements of others can affect the way we feel about ourselves.

But, when we remember that what others think about us, say about us, or any belief they may have doesn’t effect our value, we’re able to show up more true to who we are and who we were meant to be!

Don’t let those labels tear you down. You choose what you think about you!! Do you want to like yourself? Deep down you truly do! So give yourself permission to like yourself today!! We all have the same intrinsic value and when we believe that, we feel different, and we show up ready to love others even if they may not currently be their best self.

There is great power in everyday journaling. It allows you to sort out your emotions and become more aware of how you think, what you believe, and in tune with the authentic version of you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I strongly encourage the girls that I work with to journal as it a huge way for them to let go of the spinning thoughts that so often weigh them down. I encourage them to not write lots of the heavy negative in their keepsake journals because I don't want them reading that over and over. When you read the negative, you start to take it on again and that negative energy is then recreated.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Instead, I encourage girls to write down all the negative on a loose piece of paper. Whether its memories, anger, stressed about a specific event, etc. Then find a way to destroy it either through burning, ripping, or shredding. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

THEN, go write the positive or the highlights along with the solutions in their journals. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It’s been on my mind so heavily about how we all

It’s been on my mind so heavily about how we all have some sort of addiction that holds us back from truly letting Christ into our hearts.

I see it often in the girls I work with. I see it in this generation immensely as this is the most powerful generation yet, and Christ wants to stop them. I see it in a diverse range of genders, generations, and I’ve even seen it in myself time and time again.

When we are craving anything more than we are craving God, it’s too much!
These could be things like...
- food (stuffing emotions) 🌮🍦🍩
- entertainment / TV 📺
- attention / validation ⭐️
- popularity 📣
- money 💵
- beauty 💄
- social media 👩🏽‍💻
- and a plethora of other things

Don’t get me wrong, these things ARE NOT BAD. YOU ARE NOT BAD FOR USING these things.

It’s simply that when our spirits came to earth, they had some spaces that seek to be filled daily. When we aren’t feeling our hearts with Christ, we seek to feel that void with something else. Nothing will be able to feel it like God Can! So we keep going after that thing over and over hoping to finally feel like we’re complete. Nothing can complete you like God can.

If you’re missing that relationship or love from God, it could be that your heart just needs some healing. I believe the church’s addiction program is for EVERYONE! I’ve seen miracles come from this program for depression, anxiety, OCD, self objectification, and especially higher self-esteem.

I’ve been thinking of leading one via Zoom for teens & YA’s. So I’m going to do a poll on my stories to see just how many might be interested.

We all have doubts, don’t we? But you don’t have to stay stuck in your doubts. Doubts are the opposite of faith which is how we know they are coming from the adversary.

Here’s a little process activity to help you walk through your doubts and conquer them like you were meant to.

As you move your doubts aside and let go of them by giving them to YOUR Savior, incredible things are going to flood into your life! I can’t wait for YOU to move forward and break free from these barriers.

Sometimes we have this belief that if we need to ask for help or don’t have the answers immediately, we’re not very smart. That is NEVER the case!!! Take power over your intellectual health by being willing to be humble enough to ask for help!

Here’s some resources to turn to to get the help you need. It’s the smart girls that are ASKING for help, believe me!!!

Also, a quick tip that’s helped me immensely is to study 📖 the Book of Mormon everyday for extra help from The Lord and the Holy Ghost. Because remember, they have the truth of ALL things!!!

Christ loves you deeply. ♥️♥️ I sometimes

Christ loves you deeply. ♥️♥️ I sometimes will meet girls that don’t feel worthy of Christ’s unconditional love or his presence in their life.

BUT... that’s now how he works! He loves you knowing beforehand absolutely everything you would do. He loves you for YOU!!!

His love doesn’t go to just a select few, his heart is big enough for each and every child of God. That means every spirit that had lived, is living, or will live both in Heaven and on earth. You don’t need to comprehend it to lean into it.

Invite Christ into your heart to have Him nurture you and your life simply by
- reading about him
- watching a video of his life
- pondering on his sacrifice
- reflecting on his love
- learning about his attributes
- praying in his name
- seeking to follow him
- repenting through his atonement
- loving his sheep 🐑
- doing His Father’s will

One of the best things you can do for your mental

One of the best things you can do for your mental health is to soak up more rays of sun ☀️. Sunshine is the greatest source of Vitamin D!! Vitamin D helps your mind & spirit to be more calm, more alert, and more in tune with God’s voice of truth.

Whenever I’m trying to help someone out of a depression funk, the first thing I suggest is to soak up more sunlight as it is one of the greatest forces of healing God has blessed us with.
• • •
A quick note that 15 minutes a day in the sun without sunscreen 🧴 is how you’re going to get the vitamins. You’ll never burn if you slowly and wisely build up your tolerance to the sun. I suggest opting for a natural sunscreen if you do need one. Message me for my favorite recommendations.

I talk to so many teens and they often tell me that they don’t understand everything or sometimes anything of what they’re reading. And you know what, that’s totally okay!!

Reading consistently whether you comprehend all the words or not is what is going to create that stream of power and those building blocks for better understanding & growth in the principles.

1. Carry a Book of Mormon with me in my bag to get out anytime I need a pick-me-up.
2. Book of Mormon journaling like in previous posts
3. Reading at the same time everyday so I never miss a day.

Have you ever had a really good prayer 🙏🏻 where by the end of it you feel you poured out your entire heart ♥️ & soul?

Those are the type of prayers I think of as “balloon releasing prayers”. It’s as if I gave all my worries and heartaches completely to Christ. Like I put them all in a balloon 🎈 and then just let go.

There’s no way of getting the balloon back once you release it, right? And those prayers, it’s like I full heartedly trust Christ with my “stuff”. I give it to Him with complete faith & trust that He knows what to do with it to the point that I can’t or don’t ever want to take it back.

These aren’t always my everyday prayers, but I’m most certainly working on it. Start where you are!!! But these are the prayers that stick out in my mind where an exchange of complete and utter peace was given back to me in return.

Oftentimes we have moments where we feel inadequate or insecure. As if we simply aren’t enough or our value deprecated.

When we start believing these thoughts or taking on that painful bitter feeling of insecurity, we have to remember we are then stepping into our natural man and believing the beliefs of Satan.

As you learn to really see yourself through the divine eyes 👀 of our Savior, you let go of those beliefs more easily and quickly.

When you see the divinity in you, you’ll see it in others and NOTHING can make you feel less than. Please remember that your worth can’t change. God loves you infinitely! You’re no greater than nor less than any other person. Those that aren’t living their life to honor Christ simply are missing out on the perspective of divinity within.
