I made you a cute workbook to host PJ’S friend parties. Buy it here for $3.

I was a beehive when I learned about this fun way of living the gospel and pretty soon it became my foundation for my testimony and my mantra in life. I’ve been Young Women’s president before, I know you HAVE to make the gospel fun. It has to be relatable and it has to help you find your very own joy.
So, of course making a PJ’S party in your everyday life is going to be something we practice around here.
Every single evening when you go to put your PJ’S on, you’ll automatically be able to think of your gospel PJ’S which stands for PRAYER, JOURNAL, and SCRIPTURES. You can do each one of these after you put your cutest and comfiest pajamas on and you’ll be creating a routine and healthy habits for life!
All 3 of these are gospel foundations, so let’s dig into the why for each one of them.
P – PRAYER
Prayer, I’m sure this one is pretty obvious, just like they all our. But saying morning & evening prayers is the foundation of any testimony. If you’re trying to build your faith, come to know Heavenly Father, or have more peace in your life… prayer is ALWAYS the answer.
God wants to talk to you and He also wants to hear from you. That becomes super hard when you’re not opening the windows of Heaven and praying.
There have been many times when I’ve wanted to feel close to Christ or understand who he is or what role he is playing in my life. I’ve found this is only possible when I’m praying with my whole heart. This might not always make sense because it’s Heavenly Father we are praying to and not Christ… but that’s how we access His atonement. Praying humbles us and it also gives us the power to Christ because God The Father and His son are both one in purpose.
J – JOURNAL
Journaling, wow… there is so much power in journaling. Journaling helps us to get our thoughts clear, so they can be sorted rather than spinning. When we spin our thoughts in a negative way, we end up getting stuck in a loop. That makes it really hard for the light to get in.
Journaling is also powerful in the sense of creating memories, stories, and your heart to pass onto your future posterity like your children and grandchildren. Don’t let this part scare you where you are super cautious of what you write. Be you! That’s the only part they need of you is the real and authentic you. That means some days they are going to get to read your happy stories. And other days they are going to get your rants and that is totally okay! Just be consistent and it will be a treasure they cherish forever and ever!
Also, girl, you know that you too will go back and read and be inspired by your own writings and memories. Write down how your testimony is growing and the ways you are seeing God’s hand in your life.
S – SCRIPTURES
Reading your scriptures daily is how you’re going to build faith in God’s love and plan for you. The scriptures are one of the biggest ways God communicates with us. The more we read from Him and learn of His voice, the more we hear our voice during the good times and those dark times. It’s so important that we are familiar with the way He works and we learn that through all of the stories we find in the scriptures.
Even if you just read one verse a night, that is something and it’s a powerful something that really shows the adversary you own your life. That’s something I learned 9 years ago from my grandpa and it’s carried me well.
