A shine kit is a perfect product to make a difference on the go, allowing you to serve others while you’re at school, work, or out and about living your everyday life.
There is always someone to serve whether it be at home, the store, your local library, or maybe getting a smoothie with a friend or two and the server was so kind!
Printed on each bag is a line from the scripture Matthew 5:16 which says, ‘Let Your Light Shine’. The perfect reminder that each one of us has a light to offer and we were born with a mission to fulfill each day.
The idea for these kits was born during a time when I was going through a tough battle of depression and fighting to find some light and joy in the darkness. In a moment of reflecting back to a time when I had felt true joy, I was reminded how much I had been serving others allowing that to be the focus in my life.
I decided I needed to change some things, so I started gathering some items into my bag that I could always have with me. Things that would allow me to serve others while going about my day. Serving on the go brought about this Divine power, allowing my negative thoughts to diminish, and leaving so much room for the light to come in.
Recently, there was a study done that found young people who help those whom they do not have a relationship with report feeling better about themselves over time. See the study here
This kit is an excellent opportunity to be used to make new friends, come out of a depressive state, develop stronger self-esteem, spread some joy with little to no time, and can even help build more optimism and resilience over time.
While the ‘Shine Kit’ is created to be used in selfless ways, I believe in karma… the more goodness you put out into this world, the more goodness will find its way back to you.
